Let me know your thoughts on ‘Being Present’
How do you manifest 'being present' in life with your family, friends and the people around you?
I’m working on the first article in a new series about ten qualities of a good human—dimensions of character to cultivate over a lifetime. These are a follow on from a similar series I wrote about leadership on LinkedIn.
At the moment, I'm working on 'Being Present'.
"The real gift of gratitude is that the more grateful you are, the more present you become."
Robert Holden
I’m the first to acknowledge that I write from my personal experience—a specific perspective. However, I am determined to be cognisant of broader and more diverse views and opinions, wherever possible, to counter my innate biases.
I'm thinking around these ideas:
The difference between physical presence and authentic engagement in relationships
How technology affects our ability to be present and strategies to maintain genuine connection
The impact of mindfulness on personal relationships and daily interactions
Building meaningful moments through active participation in others' lives
Creating spaces and rituals that encourage a deeper presence
How do you manifest 'being present' in life with your friends and the people around you? Do any of the ideas above connect to 'being present' for you?
